Launch Your Membership Site in 24 Hours

What would you do if you HAD to launch your membership site in just 24 hours?

Seriously…

Cut out all the crap. Eliminate all the complicated tech stuff.

Your ONLY goal is to have a member’s area and a payment button ready to rock in 24 hours.

But let’s add some fun to the challenge.

You’ve got an unlimited supply of coffee. It’s an all-night hackathon.

And you’ve got to have this product ready by morning.

What do you do?

Gotta quick story for ya…

Gotta quick story for ya..

All the way back in high school.

When I got started online – my first website was about an unusual topic.

Baby Names.

Kind of strange.

But…

There were a TON of untapped keywords in this market.

In fact – that market is a LOT bigger than you might think.

Back then…

I was looking for a market that had a lot of potential SEO traffic but little competition.

And when I found “baby names” I thought I hit the jackpot.

And I did…

Once that site was built – it started generating thousands of visitors per day.

At it’s peak, it was generating over 100,000 visitors per month. Which brought me a nice
Adsense check every single month.

I still remember what it felt like to open the mailbox. And hidden below all that junk mail
I saw an envelope with Google’s address on the front.

I quickly ripped it open. Pulled out the crisp, blue Adsense check and smiled with satisfaction.

From then on… I was hooked :)

You can bet my parents were surprised too!

Not bad for a gal in high school.

But…

5 Things Entrepreneurs Will Never Tell You

So today is supposed to be Part 3 of our series on Unusual Traffic Strategies.

But this morning when I woke up I decided to scrap the whole thing and do something better.

Ok… not really.

But we’re definitely putting a bit of a twist on it.

I want to tell you the crap that entrepreneurs never talk about.

The things we think about but never dare say out loud.

And yes…

It does have to do with traffic. And it has everything to do with building an audience and growing a tribe of raving fans.

More on that later.

But first…

About that crap that entrepreneurs never talk about.

Let’s start with one that we can all relate to.

Unusual Traffic Strategies (Part 2)

As you probably know, reach and engagement are going down across almost all social networks. Including Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and Instagram.

In fact, Instagram has recently hit an 11-month low. With growth down 93% and engagement down 70%.

That means less and less of your followers are actually seeing your updates.

This is largely because the news feed is getting more and more crowded. With more people posting every day. To combat that, almost all of the social media platforms have rolled out algorithms that decide what to show in the news feed. So that you’re only seeing the content that you’re most likely to be interested in.

So… does that mean you should give up on social media?

Throw in the towel.

No way!!

It just means the game has changed.

And you’ll need to change up your strategy.

But the good news is…

We have more ways to reach our audience now than ever before.

Through paid media, native ads, retargeting, influencer marketing, Facebook LIVE video, and now Facebook Instant Articles.

(Part 1 of 3) – Unusual Traffic Strategies for 2016

Unusual Traffic Strategies

We’re starting a brand new series this week all about new and unusual traffic strategies for 2016.

This is Part 1 in a 3-part series.

I’ve personally been seeing a lot of “rehashed” traffic strategies lately.

Just the same thing being repeated over and over.

Things like…

Content Marketing
Guest Blogging
Facebook Ads
Blogger Outreach
Social Media
Link Roundups
Pinterest Group Boards
Google Plus Communities
LinkedIn Groups
Sub-Reddits
Podcasting
Solo Ads
Ad Swaps
SEO

Guess What?

All of those are great.

But I’m ready for something fresh.

And that’s why I’ve created this 3-part traffic series.

To share with you some of the latest traffic strategies that are working RIGHT NOW.

And a few that you may not have heard of yet :)

So let’s dive right in to Unusual Traffic Strategy #1:

“Push Notifications”

These have become a staple on our cell phones. They’re those little messages you get on your phone telling you that someone has posted on your Facebook wall, or someone has sent you a friend request, or
that it’s your turn on “Words with Friends”.

Push notifications we’re originally introduced by Apple in 2009 to provide a way for mobile app developers to re-engage their users.

They quickly became one of the main marketing channels for mobile apps.

But…

This technology has now come to the desktop.

Which means that your website visitors are now able to “subscribe” to your website without providing any contact information. No need to enter their name and email. They can subscribe to “desktop updates” with just one click.
