    Kim nice video.

I have used this idea for over a year.. and tested posts without it recently and have seen lower tweets shares.

I used to used click to Tweet.linked to an image… but they were getting a lot of spam complains and links would get blocked.

I now just hand code the url which takes a few sec, but the links are safer and always working.

    • Kim Roach says:

      Hey John :)

Can’t you just use the code that ClickToTweet.com generates – instead of the actual ClickToTweet.com link itself?

      Thanks for commenting!

I’m a HUGE fan of your blog :)

      Hey John

I was checking out your blog and love the email forms you have, what do you use? Also at the end of the post you have popular posts on one side and the share stuff on the other…I believe this is done through columns, but what plugins or how is that set up…very nice…

  2. Awesome advice, as always, Kim! I’ve been hearing a lot about how great Twitter is for traffic and these tips are a good way to bypass the learning curve.

  3. Jeremy Brown says:

Great tip Kim. That idea can definitely be utilized in all sorts of ways. The creative juices are flowing :).

Another site that I see utilize this from time to time is Hubspot.

Just goes to show you if you make it super easy for people to do something, they’re more likely to do it.

  4. Shalu Sharma says:

I have not heard of this before but I think its the best tip I have read so far. I am going to try this method. I am getting some retweets and there is no doubt that tweets generate a lot of traffic. Does this mean that for every post, you have to do it manually every time?

    • Kim Roach says:

      Hi Shalu :)

Well, it’s not really manual per se because ClickToTweet.com will generate the code for you.

I can’t wait to share more of our results as we continue testing it :)

  5. Hello Kim, I just found your blog and you hit me with some fab tips. I’m going to be releasing a new plugin to help you easily make those attractive boxes complete with icons. Now, you have given me additional ways to make my plugin better. I’ll keep you in mind when it is out. Thank you!

  6. I use this here and there, and I have only gotten a few RTs. It does work though!

The only thing is that those RTs haven’t resulted in any traffic according to the Google Analytics social tracking. Even then, I have noticed those posts that have been RT’d have been getting more search traffic.

    Coincidence? Nah.

Thanks for the awesome tip and I read all the same blogs :)

  7. Great tip! Immediately implemented it on my last post.

Will let you know how it works :)

  12. Great tip and great results Kim. But I guess there must be some plugin to make the whole thing much easier instead of going through all different steps. Looking forward to implementing the functionality in my blogging.

I’ve seen these click to tweet buttons on other people’s blogs, but I’ve been slow on the uptake. I think this is one kick A strategy for getting your content out there and now you’ve filled in the gaps for me. I’m sooo going to start doing this.

    Thanking you kindly!

You always bring such great ideas to your readers Kim. I always look forward to your e-mails and this post has inspired me to reboot/redesign my blog that I have been neglecting for quite some time. I will be putting this to use very soon. I love the idea of applying this to top 10 type posts. As mentioned above, a plugin to automate this a little more would be awesome. Would love to beta test that too.

    Keep on rocking Kim.

  19. Sergio Felix says:

Kim, I am going to try using this strategy for my missionary blog fundraiser site. But, what message do you think would work best for the blog. I am trying to raise $30,000.00 and need as much help as possible so the if you have got some great ideas about what message I should use, I am willing to listen!

    Thanks and God bless,

    • Kim Roach says:

A message that your community would WANT to spread.

It comes from thinking about your particular prospect.

And you know them best :)

So you’re really the best person to think about what message you would
like to share. And one that others would want to share as well.

  21. I really cannot stand Twitter. But I guess we all have to use it if we want to bring our blog to the next level. I have an account for my blog but I have not been using it to it’s fullest potential. I think I am going to give it another try though after watching the video. Thanks again for the excellent post. :]

    • Kim Roach says:

Twitter is a great way to start driving traffic to your blog.

But also remember that your LIST – is the biggest, most important asset in your business.

So be sure to setup systems on your blog that convert visitors into subscribers.

      Cheers,

      Kim

  22. Isabella says:

    Thanks Kim!

That was a great tip that I will definitely use on my site. I will definitely report back on how it goes. When it comes to traffic, you truly are the expert!!!

  23. Good tip Kim! I’m going to share this on twitter, etc.
I think the same principle would apply for FB likes and G+1 also, although the implementation might be a little more complex. It seems that many people have become “banner blind” to the standard social buttons, so setting it apart like this makes sense. I’ve actually done something similar on my blog for awhile to draw attention to my coaching club or other links that I really want to highlight.

    • Kim Roach says:

      Oh my gosh!!!

Eric Holmlund has commented on my blog :)

      Does happy dance in chair…

Thanks so much for your kind words Eric! It means a LOT to me.

I’ve been a LONG time fan of yours. LOVE what you’re doing online.

I was following you all the way back in high school.

Great idea on applying this to FB likes and other platforms.

      I hadn’t thought of that :)

      You ROCK!

      Cheers,

      Kim

      • Haha, that’s awesome thanks Kim :-)
Hmmm… looks like I just got an idea for a new product or WP plugin…
I love your blog too, and I’ve even recommended it a couple times on my coaching calls :)

  24. Matthew Loop says:

Good video and traffic strategy, Kim. This function makes it very simple and obvious for readers to re-tweet your content. It’s right in their face, which I like.

    Thanks for the tip!

  25. Hi Kim,

Great post! I just started using this strategy about a week ago. It has done wonders to increase my blog readership and following.

    Keep up the great work!

    Many Blessings,

    Stacie Walker

  26. Hi Kim!

I just so happened to be checking my Yahoo mail today,
when I spotted your email, which led me to your post.

By the way, KUDO’s on your tutorial video, it flows so nicely
and your step-by-step is ‘spot on’.

I actually took your instruction and applied it to my website.
It looks SO GOOD, I placed a quote in a place where it can’t
    be missed.

I’d love to hear what you have to say, so let me guide you to it.

Your comment there would go a long way, and I’ll be forever
grateful to you for doing so. A social share would be cool too.

Have a highly inspired day…your friend Steven Suchar

  27. Love it, Kim!

It would be perfect to implement in my blog posts. Can’t wait to try it.

You are such a great teacher and your explanations are just perfect for those of us who just need simple and clear instructions to follow.

    Thank you!

Hi Kim! I´m a new blogger and I spend several hours online trying to learn SEO and Emarketing stuff. Most things I find are garbage or things that are useless for someone who´s not trying to sell some spammy content. This click to tweet thing looks great, I´m updating my posts with it right now. Thank you for something usefull!!!

  30. Gary says:

Thanks for the awesome advice and the nice little tweak. I think this could absolutely help get more retweets and I am going to try it, for sure. Another great tip is to actually ask for retweets when you tweet. You would be surprised how many more you will get. Thanks again.
