Kim nice video.
I have used this idea for over a year.. and tested posts without it recently and have seen lower tweets shares.
I used to used click to Tweet.linked to an image… but they were getting a lot of spam complains and links would get blocked.
I now just hand code the url which takes a few sec, but the links are safer and always working.

I was checking out your blog and love the email forms you have, what do you use? Also at the end of the post you have popular posts on one side and the share stuff on the other…I believe this is done through columns, but what plugins or how is that set up…very nice…

Great tip Kim. That idea can definitely be utilized in all sorts of ways. The creative juices are flowing :).
Another site that I see utilize this from time to time is Hubspot.
Just goes to show you if you make it super easy for people to do something, they’re more likely to do it.

I have not heard of this before but I think its the best tip I have read so far. I am going to try this method. I am getting some retweets and there is no doubt that tweets generate a lot of traffic. Does this mean that for every post, you have to do it manually every time?

Well, it’s not really manual per se because ClickToTweet.com will generate the code for you.

I use this here and there, and I have only gotten a few RTs. It does work though!
The only thing is that those RTs haven’t resulted in any traffic according to the Google Analytics social tracking. Even then, I have noticed those posts that have been RT’d have been getting more search traffic.
Coincidence? Nah.

To get more accurate tracking – I would recommend that you setup a specific Pretty Link OR a tracking link through Adtrackz Gold.

I’ve seen these click to tweet buttons on other people’s blogs, but I’ve been slow on the uptake. I think this is one kick A strategy for getting your content out there and now you’ve filled in the gaps for me. I’m sooo going to start doing this.

I will be putting this to use very soon. I love the idea of applying this to top 10 type posts. As mentioned above, a plugin to automate this a little more would be awesome. Twitter is a great way to start driving traffic to your blog.
But also remember that your LIST – is the biggest, most important asset in your business.
So be sure to setup systems on your blog that convert visitors into subscribers.

Good tip Kim! I’m going to share this on twitter, etc.
I think the same principle would apply for FB likes and G+1 also, although the implementation might be a little more complex. It seems that many people have become “banner blind” to the standard social buttons, so setting it apart like this makes sense. I’ve actually done something similar on my blog for awhile to draw attention to my coaching club or other links that I really want to highlight.
